I'm not sure where Country Living was going with the tablescapes that they did for the Country Living Fair in Columbus Ohio last weekend but I dutifully took pictures (OK, my pictures aren't the best but it is what it is) and am here to report on what I saw.

This tablescape was set at the entrance of the building. I think the moss covered dogs must have been a big thing at Market this year as they used two of them for tablescapes in this building. |
|
This was the only table that was set as a dining tablescape. It was simple in its style but was very inviting. I love the folding chairs |
|
The burlap as the table drop set a nice early tone for the tabletop. |
|
It was hard to tell the story of each of the tables, this one I drew that it was set for a small dinner with the tables stacked next to the drinking glasses. |
|
Stacked plates seem to be "in" this year, Pottery Barn is also showing tablescapes with just stacked plates rather than individual table settings. I love the color with the green apples in the basket. |
|
This one looked like it could be for an entry. You can't see in the picture but there was another moss dog tied to the bottom leg of the table. |
|
This was my favorite as was set for an entry but you could have easily made it into a small buffet table but including the carrot cake, pumpkin cupcakes and apple cider on the table. |

Well, I don't think I would have ever thougth of a moss covered dog. Their decorative pieces are pretty. Your picture are wonderful. I am so happy to meet you and thanks so much for linking to TTT. Hugs, Marty
Yep, I think your favourite is my favourite too...I love the chubby legs on that table...reminds me of something...oh, right...my legs :O
Very interesting seeing how Country Living sets up a table! The mossy dog is a bit strange!! ;-D

Great pictures and alot of interesting ideas. I don't know how well a moss dog would go over here, but...you never know. thanks for sharing with us today!
I agree, I like the table you did! I'm not sure where I would put a moss-covered dog! Thanks so much for stopping by:-)
Miss Char this looks just beautiful.
It's nice to meet you! I enjoyed my first visit to your lovely blog.
Warmly, ~Melissa :)
Must be a nice place to have been there, so much fun to see all those beauties....Christine
Very pretty tablescapes at the CLF. I also noticed the stacked plates on PB's tables, which seem to suggest a more casual, buffet-style of dining. I love the idea.

Have a wonderful evening.

I love that moss dog! How fun!
Thanks for the report on the Country Living Fair.
I appreciate your stopping by Porch Days. So sorry the email didn't work. When we moved and changed emails I neglected to change it on my profile. Thanks for the reminder. We're switching from DSL to cable so will have to change it again.
I agree with you...the whole direction of most of the tables is a bit perplexing. The last table was indeed a lovely vignette. I think that those dog topiaries might frighten my four pound Yorkie....or send him into attack mode. Thank you for sharing your photos of the tables. It's really interesting to see what others are designing. Cherry Kay
I love the limegreen color to the dark brown. MB
I love the stacked plates. I'm sure we will all be doing that soon LOL.
Have a great week.

Hello Miss Char, thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a lovely comment. I enjoyed seeing your post. That dog topiary is wonderful. It looks like a Schnauzer, in which we have three.
Have a great week-end. Linda
