One of the most treasured gifts I have recieved via the internet is not Lennox china from an ebay bid or a piece of artwork from shopgoodwill.com but the friendship of some lovely ladies.
A few of these dear ladies decided to come to my "neck of the woods". We came from north, south, east and west and arrived at a beautiful B&B in Geneva Illinois. The Oscar Swan Inn, http://www.oscarswan.com/ is a real jewel in this wonderful little town about an hour west of downtown Chicago. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely spot for a get-away.
Our days were spent in antique shops, thrift shops and some wonderful yard sales down in the historic district. Everyone left with bags and trunks full of treasures to take back home and feather their nests with. When we weren't shopping we were enjoying ice cream , deep dish pizza and have wonderful conversations about all the things important to each of us. What a great time of fellowship and the simple pleasures of life.

I agree with you, the women I have met blogging are very choice indeed. How fun to get together and have a great time.
I read your post on the giveaway home. Sounds beautiful and I would love to see it, but I agree, who would want to end up with that tax bill and those kind of yearly taxes! How fun to get to see such talent put to use though in the home.
