Last of Summer Blues on the Porch

Last of Summer Blues on the Porch
Pictures of the guest of honor and her family were placed
on the table in silver frames
Blue transferware and silver were the repeating theme
A variety of blue transferware added interest to the table
along with timeless pistol grip flatware
Mini teapots with roses were take home gifts for the guests
End of summer hydrangeas and mini roses filled silver coffee pots

Lemon bread is so refreshing for a warm summer day,
especially when served in a silver bowl

Hi Miss Char, I love blue and white, and am wishing I had a Williamsburg plate like yours. I have had an urge to go back there lately! You have so many interesting posts on your blog. I don't think I could walk across that Mackinac Island bridge. Can you see down to the ocean???? And I had to laugh at the cornbread disaster! I hope you do more posts! Is your name by any chance Charlotte? That is my daughter's name and one of my collections is "Charlotte" china. Have a great day. Linda

What a lovely table you have here. I, too, use my blues with silver..a good combo, indeed.

So pretty -- love your classic blues. They are set splendidly with your silver. I love that you've mixed your china and those pitchers are so sweet -- a charming favor.
