Last of Summer Blues on the Porch
Pictures of the guest of honor and her family were placed on the table in silver frames |
Blue transferware and silver were the repeating theme |
A variety of blue transferware added interest to the table along with timeless pistol grip flatware |
Mini teapots with roses were take home gifts for the guests |
End of summer hydrangeas and mini roses filled silver coffee pots |
Lemon bread is so refreshing for a warm summer day, especially when served in a silver bowl I am participating in Tablescape Thurday |

Hi Miss Char, I love blue and white, and am wishing I had a Williamsburg plate like yours. I have had an urge to go back there lately! You have so many interesting posts on your blog. I don't think I could walk across that Mackinac Island bridge. Can you see down to the ocean???? And I had to laugh at the cornbread disaster! I hope you do more posts! Is your name by any chance Charlotte? That is my daughter's name and one of my collections is "Charlotte" china. Have a great day. Linda
What a lovely table you have here. I, too, use my blues with silver..a good combo, indeed.
Come by to see me when you can.:)
I am a huge fan of blue and white so of course I love your table. Gorgeous!
Hugs, Sherry

Linda, my name is Charlotte, I've always gone by Char but as I get older I now wish I had used Charlotte.
Char, this table setting just makes my heart sputter. I love the blue and I really love the blue/silver combo. So happy you are blogging.
Keep going, Girl! :)

So pretty -- love your classic blues. They are set splendidly with your silver. I love that you've mixed your china and those pitchers are so sweet -- a charming favor.
