Chalkboard Paint Crazy

The past couple of days I've had the chalkboard paint crazies and have been painting anything that would hold still.  I thought I would share a few finished projects with you today, none of them new or earthshaking but they were fun to do.  Now I just need to learn how to print neatly with chalk!

I did this one a couple of years ago, I found a nice frame that I traced the inside of the frame directly on to the door.  After the paint was dried and used some hot glue to attach the frame over the painted area.  The bonus on this one is its also magnetic so I use it more as a bulletin board than a chalk board.

This idea I've seen on many blogs, I did dip the stems into the paint directly rather than painting it on.  If I were to do it again I would thin the paint down first.

I love this silver tray, it was not in good shape so a couple of coats of paint and it can be used for display, I think in the summer I can use it as a serving tray on the porch for cheese, etc. and label each kind right on the tray.

I love this pizza peel, this one will probably get more use than any of the other projects I've painted.

Since its still winter here I have a winter wreath on the door.  Hopefully by the end of the month I'll be able to switch out to something for spring.  I picked up this little silver tray and SA or GW for $1.  I drilled a hole in the center and added the ribbon to hang it from the door.

Fantastic ideas! If the stem dipping is all over blog land, I missed it. What a wonderful idea, especially for a party. I think all your projects are fabulous.

Miss Char,
All of these chalkboard projects are adorable...but that little Welcome sign is making me swoon! Writing with chalk just takes practice. Try writing with the chalk on construction paper...it's a smoother surface and it will give you the confidence to take on your larger pieces with great success!
Fondly,
Pat

Another {sigh} post. I buy the paint and think about it ~~~ You buy the paint and DO it. Everything looks so cute Char.

Hey you just gave me an idea for some very small aluminum trays I purchased at GW and didn't know what to do with them. Now I wished I had purchased more for place settings. I got three.
