This is not my home but one near by, as I drove past it today I noticed the pink lilies in the corner of the entry. Unfortunately all I had was my camera phone so the picture is a little off but I wanted to share the size and beauty of these flowers. Sorry there is only the one picture but I was afraid that if I sat in my car snapping pictures of the home the little lady who lives there might freak out and call the police. I'm not sure what the lady must feed them but they are as tall as the little lady who lives there, no kidding!
The lilies look fantastic, they are such a pretty flower:@)
ReplyDeleteThese are stunning - like you say, what could they have been fed with? The lady must talk to them every day, and play them music.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday and hugs from the UK!

ReplyDeleteThose are truly the largest ones I ever saw. I can see why they are an eye catcher.

Very pretty. They are huge. I too wonder what she feeds them.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness those are huge! Lilies are my favorite flower by far!
ReplyDeleteWow! They are huge!! Maybe she dumps her leftover coffee on that spot each morning since it is just outside her door.
ReplyDeleteWow...they are gorgeous! The deer ate the tops out of my lilies! Bad deer! HPS :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday Miss Char Sweetie....
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh how elegant are these lilies? And they are pink? So large my gosh, what a beautiful manicured garden. This little lady definitely has a green thumb.
I think you should go back and ring her door bell, talk to her about her gorgeous lilies and tell her you took a picture because you just had to share with your friends their beauty. I think she would be so thrilled. Keep us posted. Be brave now.
Have a glorious weekend sweetie. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
Oh my....
ReplyDeleteYou should go up to her door and introduce yourself. Anyone who takes such care to grow such beauties will only be flattered that you are so taken with her flowers. Who knows, she may share her secret; and then you too can have such lovely lilies in your garden. And, you never know, this could be the making of a very wonderful friendship.

Char,
ReplyDeleteLovely, indeed!!!
So glad you didn't disturb the lady who lived there. My bother once grew "Elephant Ears" by the front porch that were huge. I asked him how did yours get so big? His reply was he dumped out his cold coffee every morning from his mug before returning to the house. My brother's coffee was always laced with three spoons full of sugar. Go figure!
Fondly,
Pat
I can just see you sitting in your car and taking spy shots with your phone!! I'm glad you did--I can't believe the size of those lilies! The deer eat the heads off of mine every day. I think you should drop a note in her mailbox and ask to talk to her--sometimes little old ladies don't answer the door to strangers. I know my mom won't. She would be pleased to know that you noticed her beautiful flowers. Linda
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful way to be welcomed to your home. Hugs
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Thanks for sharing. Ginger
